Discover the fascinating world of Lavender with our Lavender Sensory Experience!

🌿 Did you know that Lavender has a rich history dating back 2500 years, originating from the Mediterranean, Middle East, and India? The ancient Greeks even referred to it as "nardus" and used it in holy rituals. Lavender's name comes from the Latin word "lavare," meaning "to wash," as the Romans used it to scent their baths, clothes, and more, discovering its medicinal properties along the way.

🌱 Lavender, specifically L. angustifolia essential oils, is known for its therapeutic benefits, such as analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, sedative, and uplifting properties. It can soothe insect bites, sunburn, cuts, burns, and even acne. Plus, it's used for internal conditions like indigestion and heartburn.

🍽️ As a member of the mint family, Lavender has also graced the world of culinary delights. It adds a floral, slightly sweet, and elegant flavour to salads, soups, meats, seafood, desserts, cheeses, baked goods, and confectionery. It's even a key ingredient in Herbs de Province, which captures the flavours of the sunny south of France.
